  CTET September 2026 Selection Process, Exam Pattern & Detailed Syllabus

The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the official notification for CTET September 2026. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted for candidates who want to become teachers for Classes I to VIII in Central Government schools, CBSE-affiliated schools, Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS), Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS), and other eligible institutions.

  CTET is divided into two papers:

  • Paper I → For Classes I to V (Primary Stage)
  • Paper II → For Classes VI to VIII (Elementary Stage)

    Candidates who want to teach both levels must appear in both papers.
