Defence written exams test Mathematics, General Science and English at Class 10–12 level. Go through the syllabus and identify any conceptual gaps.
Physical preparation must run alongside academics. Start with daily running (build up to 1.6 km under 7 minutes), push-ups, and pull-ups.
Cover Class 9–12 Physics and Chemistry from NCERT. For GK, follow monthly current affairs and Indian Defence news.
Solve last 5 years of papers in timed conditions. Many defence exams repeat question patterns — familiarity significantly increases your score.
If the post requires SSB, start personality development, Group Task preparation and psychological test practice at least 2 months before the interview.
