3. Exam Type
- Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions)
- Question paper will be in English and Hindi
4. Negative Marking
- 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer
5. Normalization of Marks
- If exam is conducted in multiple shifts, marks will be normalized as per SSC rules
- Final merit and cut-off will be based on normalized marks
6. Answer Key Process
- Tentative answer key will be released after the exam
- Candidates can raise objections online

General Awareness

English Language & Comprehension
- Includes grammar, vocabulary, synonyms, antonyms, sentence structure, comprehension, and writing ability.
9. Skill Test in Stenography
- Candidates shortlisted from CBE will appear in Skill Test.
Dictation
- Duration: 10 minutes

- Stenographer Grade D: 80 words per minute
- Stenographer Grade C: 100 words per minute
Transcription Time
Grade D:
- English: 50 minutes (70 minutes for scribe candidates)
- Hindi: 65 minutes (90 minutes for scribe candidates)
Grade C:
- English: 40 minutes (55 minutes for scribe candidates)
- Hindi: 55 minutes (75 minutes for scribe candidates)
10. Skill Test Rules
- Dictation will be given in English or Hindi (as chosen in application form)
- Candidates choosing Hindi stenography must learn English stenography after selection and vice versa
- Skill test will be conducted at SSC Regional Centres or designated centres
11. Admission Certificate (Admit Card)
- Issued online only
- Available 2–3 days before exam
- Candidates must regularly check SSC website
12. Exam Day Requirements
Candidates must carry:
- Printed Admit Card
- At least 2 passport-size photographs
- Original valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Passport, Driving License, etc.)
If ID does not show Date of Birth, then an additional document (Matric certificate, Birth certificate, etc.) is required.
